Job Description Draft

I hate praise. When I tell people about my work, people usually react surprised, praising my initiative at my young age. Nothing frustrates me more. Being applauded for my accomplishments in the context of my age goes against the philosophy that drives me. I started my company, Studioso, because I saw myself as an intellectual and creative equal to my competitors, regardless of their age. Since then, I worked 60-75 hours a week to build my company from nothing. I pride myself on never having accepted outside capital to fund my company and building everything from inside the company, with our own team. Although my job has continually evolved since I started the company, one of my roles has never changed. I always directed my team to work together, creatively, and innovatively. Why I Chose My Choice Book

I chose to read Why I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming  because the topic of the book partially overlaps with another course I am taking this semester, ASTRO 100. I also found it interesting because when I read the synopsis, the book mentioned how the blowback of the discovery of the planet Eris caused outrage about "killing" Pluto. Learning about this kind of situation, I believe, will help me better understand situations where many people are either misleaded or are misinterpreting a situation.
I was born in France, right outside of Paris. My mother is Vietnamese-American and my father is French. I see myself living in Los Angeles or Southern California in my immediate future and I plan on getting there by focusing on growing my business. I'm like my parents in my appreciation of fine art and cultural activities such as museums and concerts. I am unlike my parents because my view of the world is much more focused on self-advancement and fulfillment rather than selfless work, focused on helping the world and humanity. I have developed a series of expectations for myself that push me to be better at the kind of work that I do and be efficient. I focus on comparing myself to my peers in the kind of work that I do rather than my peers with similar ages or resources as myself.
